Tisoy leaves massive destruction in Southern Luzon


Tisoy left massive destruction across Southern Luzon as it exits the Philippine Archipelago causing up to 10B peso damage in agriculture and infastructures, leaving also 2 casualties.


With the maximum sustained winds of 215km per hour, it categorizes as a Category 4 hurricane making it one of the most destructive typhoon this 2019 that have hit Philppines.


After its landfall in Gubat, Sorsogon last Friday, Tisoy made many light material-made buildings, trees, and wooden structure fall down.


It made another landfall in Samar which caused the injury of 2 people and damage of almost 150,000 hectares of rice fields that covers almost 11.6 B pesos.


Landslides and floods also hit Motiong and Jiabong towns in Samar, and Lapinig and Mapanas in Northern Samar, it added.


About 200 families were evacuated from the coastal areas of Calbayog town.
