After many years, the letter writing contest is still being done in the Book Week Celebration here in Quezon National High School.
The contest is divided into three brackets; Bracket 1(grades 7 and 8 ), Bracket 2(grades 9 and 10), and Bracket C(Senior High School) Regina De Villa, Terese Valdeavilla, and Lean Brian won in Bracket A; Arabella Isles, Sean Gimena, and Xchyra Amo won in Bracket B; Emannuel Jarate, Kim Mendoza, and Agatha Siman won in Bracket C respectively.
In a world in which letter writing is deemed obsolete, Arabella Isles stressed that letters has this certain power that strengthens the bond between individuals rather than just text. Overall, let the letter writing competition prosper more in the following years.
In other events like poster making contest, many students from different grade levels participated and did their best to convey their message in a piece of artwork.
“Kasi po sa panahon ngayon madami nang mga makabagong teknolohiya ang nagagamit upang gamitin sa ating pag babasa. Kahit na patuloy pang lumalawak ang ating kaalaman sa teknolohiya, ito ay nagsimula sa manual na paraan na naging daan upang makamit ang pagbabago,” said by Christoper Jon Abril, a participant from Grade 10 Lamio.
Jon proves that even if modern technology is present, people should be aware of the past. He also said that people should be grateful that the old technology is still existing and should not degrade it.
